Information on Bangkok Thailand
Bangkok is a really cool city. It was really changed since I visited here 10 years ago back in 2002. The city has some great restaurants, bars, nightlife areas. See some of the areas listed below for more information on the different areas in Bangkok.
Sukhumvit Road
Sukhumvit road is one of the longest in Thailand. It starts in the old part of town and stretches to the border of Cambodia. The road has many sois both even and odd numbered. The lowers sois like Soi 3 and 4 I call the nana area. It has many bars, nightlife and the Nana entrainment area.
behind soi 3 to 5 has a arab area where you can get a nice shisha and eat some great arab food. This is a fun place to go when the ago-go of Nana are closed.
I like to stay at the Nana hotel if i can get a room there. The rooms aren't that great but you can't beat the location.
Up the street there is a hotel called the Woraburi Inn. I stayed there before and had good results too.
Soi Cowboy
Off of soi asoke or soi 21 is soi 23 known as soi cowboy. This is my favorite place pretty much is all of Bangkok. This is walking distance from the BTS train or the underground MRT train.
There are several hotels in this area. I stayed at a place called the Tai pan hotel about one year ago when i was in Bangkok for just one night.
This is a great place to grab a hotel and is in what i would consider the center of the city.
Look at Soi 23 cowboy area for a great Bangkok hotel.
